Organization

Founded in 1976, the Douglassaires Association keeps the spirit of Douglass School alive through annual reunions, community-service projects, and educational programs. Central to our mission is a vibrant scholarship fund that helps new generations pursue their goals and build on the school’s proud legacy.

Operating under the Westside Community Center, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit in Bartlesville, Oklahoma, we celebrate Douglass School’s history while championing education, cultural heritage, and civic engagement. By honoring the past and investing in the future, we aim to foster unity, opportunity, and pride throughout our community.

OUR MISSION

Mission

The Douglassaires Association exists to preserve the rich heritage of Douglass School while nurturing a welcoming and inclusive community. We champion diversity and educational opportunity by offering programs that spotlight the accomplishments, wisdom and talent of the school’s faculty, students and alumni. Through scholarships, cultural events and historical initiatives we celebrate Douglass School’s past and empower the next generation to build upon its legacy. By honoring these shared values and experiences we strengthen community bonds and ensure that the enduring spirit of Douglass, defined by unity, excellence and pride, continues to thrive.
